Nvidia Driver does not work properly with hardy for many computers.
I heard there might be a conflict with Xorg 7.3. On my computer (Dell Inspiron
1520- Nvidia 8600M gt), As soon as you activate the driver, only the low
graphics mode is accessible. (I did no upgrade ,I installed hardy from a
live-cd). Sometimes I also have my screen all black with Whites lines on it...
Anyway I hope that the repertories will be soon updated and that this
problem will soon disappear. (Even if I know it probably depends on
Nvidia good-will)
'cos I don't even want to imagine what the reaction of a beginner might
be if he discovers his graphic card can't even work.
