In hardy, the support for the "Hauppauge WinTV-USB III (PAL) with FM radio
Model 568" is very buggy.
When watching tv with xawtv and changing channels, the computer hardlocks very
often (when changing the channel, not while watchig one).
When going in the preferences of kopete, the computer hardlocks too, because
kopete tries to access the tv card as if it were a webcam.
Kdetv shows a black image and you can't unmute the sound, but the card is shown
as the selected tv source.
When selecting the tv card with vlc, vlc crashes (at least not the whole tv
goes down).
So, i would like to help with backtraces or whatever, but there is nothing in
any log file that could help.
The computer simply blinks with the Capslock led on the keyboard.
If i can help anyhow tell me, i would realy like if that bug could be
resolved, because hardlocks are all but fun
