I can confirm the bug. I use a 2.6.24-16 generic kernel (SMP) on a Pentium IV 3.6ghz laptop.
With the 2.6.24-16-generic kernel my cpu runs at 57 degrees Celsius With the older 2.6.22-16-generic kernel my cpu runs at 43 degrees Celsius (temperatures taken right after boot) The load does not justify the difference in temperature load average: 0.16, 0.35, 0.32 -- High CPU Temperature https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210902 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
