Hello,
I just installed Ubuntu 8.04 which has Gnome 2.22.1.
The problem is that the MIME-Types of the files are not recognized properly. So
I can not use the startes e.g.
The MIME-Type of the .desktop files is plain/text so they are opened
with the texteditor instead of launching the appropriate program.
Other file types are also affected. The MIME-Types of bins and archive files is
application/octet-stream so they do not get opened.
In the texteditor I also do not have code accentuation for html, php, xml, ...
files.
I think this is also because auf the wrong MIME-Types.
