Here you find the attached log files under /var/log/dist-upgrade:

What I also remarked, is that the usb-drive /dev/sdc was now on 8.04 on 
/dev/sdg. How is it possible to force Ubuntut 
recreate the fstab?

if you don't mind, please still include the logs in /var/log/dist-
upgrade to this bugreport. Even if the error is minor, we would like to
know about it :)
