Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: hal
Problem is in 8.04 LTS after upgrade from up-to-date GUTSY.
Problem has been seen with gnome-session, with firefox and with gedit.
Login fails, with black screen, except if I use emergency xterm.
>From this, I see ok screen. I have tried running gnome-session and this shows
>problems:
I cannot attach the log files because when I browse for attachments, firefox
crashes with same error as I see from gnome-panel:
Therefore have grepped out the E fields (error?) from hal output.
