When installing miro (with apt-get) on a hardy system (upgraded from
gutsy), there was no menu item, either.

When I opened alacarte from the Main Settings menu, though, Miro was
shown in the sound and video category (inside alacarte), and also the
check mark (show/hide) was checked (=set to "show").

When I unchecked and rechecked the checkbox, "Miro Internet TV" was
added to the actual sound & video menu category.
