Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

I don't know what went wrong. I was updating to Hardy from Ubuntu
Studio 64-bit edition and after several hours of downloading the files,
the update manager gets to the installation phase and fails to install.
A message pops up asking if I want to report the problem and then it
links me to this site.

1) using Ubuntu release 2.6.22-14-rt
2) using the 'apt-cache policy packagename' from the terminal yields the
following response: "W: Unable to locate package packagename"
3) I expected to update to Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron release
4) Such an update did not occur for a reason I don't know.
