Public bug reported: Ubuntu 8.04 is tagged for Long Term Support (LTS) Kubuntu 8.04 is not . Since both share the same repository and ubuntu can be easily turn into kubuntu and other way around the customers may be confused. Please add star at the LTS (*) and explain the LTS does not apply to kde*.deb packages. The same way, explain the custumers may get LTS support in kubuntu for other packages except the kde*.deb
What is the legal status of ubuntu. If a custumer buys the commercial support from Canonical for ubuntu 8.04 and removes gnome and installs KDE? Is the support going for 36 months or 18 months? Please be honest, don't lay, cheat and mislead your customers. They don't deserve it. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- misleading LTS tag for ubuntu 8.04 on main site www.ubuntu.com https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222913 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
