Confirmed with Kubuntu Dapper, using KDE 3.5.5.

Qt: 3.3.6
KDE: 3.5.5
Konsole: 1.6.5
Also Yakuake mirrors this behaviour exactly, if that is of interest.
FWIW, this was working with the version in Kubuntu Breezy (and a
yakuake-version, too). Sorry to say I can't check the version numbers for those
at the moment.
