Same here. With openchrome and via driver, vesa doesn't work. As a
workaround, add following to your to your xorg.conf:
Section "Monitor"
...
HorizSync 0 - 200
VertSync 0 - 200
...
EndSection
and optionaly also this:
Section "Screen"
...
SubSection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1024x768"
EndSubSection
...
EndSection
This is problem since, I think, fedora 6. But for the first time in
ubuntu. I consider this as upstream bug, because it happens in both
fedora 9 and ubuntu hardy.
