Hi, it seems I've reported (about) the same bug here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/223111 : I can't connect to a WEP AccessPoint with my Centrino, and/but I can connect to a WPA2 AccessPoint.
My work around so far: boot the older kernel 2.6.22-14-generic.
