Thank you for filing this bug to make Kubuntu better. I think this particular
thing was probably a choice made by the konsole developer(s), possibly to make
things easier to read. Basically, I don't think this is a bug, and is
certainly very low priority to fix in Kubuntu. If you dislike the change in
the new version, I recommend you file a bug at bugs.kde.org and discuss this
with the upstream developers.
Feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
