Christian, I understand your frustrations. But complaints don't help, especially drawing the LTS card. LTS means long-term support, not bug- free. LTS is mostly relevant in a server environment, not laptop installations. So thank you for your on-going progress reports, but please stay calm and don't delay getting the fix out by alienating the people who will actually be supplying the patch.
