Public bug reported:
On the new hardy installation disk, it seems the installer expects a
network connection to be present.
I tried to install without access and got stuck at 87% where it is
trying to synchronize with the NTP server.
This was on a laptop with the ethernet unplugged and the wireless card
inserted but not active.
