Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: groff

AVG (Anti-Virus-Grisoft) for Linux gave me a failed message after
upgrading to Hardy Heron (HH or 8.04) on April 25/26. I have attempted
to re-install or remove the package and always get the same error below.

E: avg75fld: subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status
150

>From what I could tell initially, avg was not running any longer on my
system (did a "ps -ef | grep avg" and got no results except for the
grep).

When I run the same grep today, here are my results.

~$ ps -ef | grep avg
root      6286     1  0 07:11 ?        00:00:02 /usr/bin/avgscan -d -pid
/var/run/avgd.pgrp
root      9695  9694  0 08:30 ?        00:00:00 /bin/sh -c
(FILENAME=/root/.avg7/testresults/testreport.`date  +%s`;
/opt/grisoft/avg7/bin/avgscan -report $FILENAME -pwdw -heur -macrow -smart /||
mv $FILENAME $FILENAME.)
root      9696  9695  0 08:30 ?        00:00:00 /bin/sh -c
(FILENAME=/root/.avg7/testresults/testreport.`date  +%s`;
/opt/grisoft/avg7/bin/avgscan -report $FILENAME -pwdw -heur -macrow -smart /||
mv $FILENAME $FILENAME.)
root      9698  9696 14 08:30 ?        00:00:28 /opt/grisoft/avg7/bin/avgscan
-report /root/.avg7/testresults/testreport.1209389401 -pwdw -heur -macrow
-smart /

Does this mean that even though I cannot 'see' AVG anywhere from the
Gnome Menus, it is running OK on my system?

Is there anything else that I can supply to help determine the
cause/issue (assuming there really is one)?

package is avg75fld under Synaptic
