I again reused totem-gstreamer+gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg for a test. Now some .wmv works. Others don't work and totem say: "This file is encrypted and cannot be played".
With "gst-launch playbin uri=file:///media/disk/Condivisi/1.wmv": Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... Pipeline is PREROLLING ... ERROR: from element /playbin0/decodebin0/asfdemux0: This file is encrypted and cannot be played. Additional debug info: gstasfdemux.c(3066): gst_asf_demux_process_object (): /playbin0/decodebin0/asfdemux0 ERROR: pipeline doesn't want to preroll. Setting pipeline to NULL ... FREEING pipeline ... VideoLan can play it but is incomprehensible (full of artefacts). > thank you for your bug report, does gst-launch playbin > uri=file:///directory/to/example plays it correctly? > > ** Changed in: totem (Ubuntu) > Importance: Undecided => Low > Status: New => Incomplete > > -- > (xubuntu 8.04rc) Totem don't play .wmv video file with > totem-gstreamer+gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg but play with > totem-xine+libxine1-ffmpeg > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220933 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > > Status in Source Package "totem" in Ubuntu: Incomplete > > Bug description: > Binary package hint: openoffice.org > > (xubuntu 8.04rc) Totem don't play .wmv video file with > totem-gstreamer+gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg but play with > totem-xine+libxine1-ffmpeg > > ____________________________________________________________________________________ > Love Graphic Design?
