Hi, I'm sorry I didn't email you back sooner. I had to do a fresh install of Kubuntu in order to install it. I never did get to finish the upgrade.
The reason for the bug makes sense, as I had nvidia-glx-new installed at the time of the failed upgrade. Thank you for fixing this, and I was happy to be of some help to you in fixing this.
