Public bug reported:
I'm using Hardy.
The installer set up the keymap "Germany" (de with dead keys). I added
de-nodeadkeys.
After booting, Ubuntu acts as if I had permanently pressed "Alt Gr".
That is, instead of "a" I'm getting "æ", instead of "3" I'm getting "³"
and so on.
