I seem to be having exactly the same problem. Networks secured with WEP worked flawlessly in Gutsy, and I can connect to my non-WEP wireless network at home, but I can no longer log-in to the WEP-protected network at my workplace. The symptoms are exactly as Ferrero described. I am currently dangling a network cable to my desk that I need to step over in order to leave my desk, so I would be very happy to see this issue resolved :)
