Public bug reported:
After upgrading to Hardy from Gutsy, I cannot change any of my visual
settings. For example, when I try and edit my panel menus, nothing
happens. When I try and open the hardware configuration to try and see
if I can change the hardware driver, nothing happens. When I try and
set the Advanced Desktop Effects Settings, nothing happens.
I'm using an NVidia 8600GT, on the AMD64 version of Ubuntu.
