Public bug reported:
I have just installed hardy heron on my desktop.the config is 845
motherboard at 2.4ghz with 767 mb of system ram...I have a master of 80
gb and slave 160 gb....Ubuntu is the only os i have installed now and
before. Now the problem is when i mount my hd in hardy i get the
following error....
$MFTMirr does not match $MFT(record 0).Failed to mount
'/dev/sdb1:Input/Output error NTFS is either incosistent or u have
hardware faults,or u have a softraid/fakeraid hardware.In the 1st case
run chkdisk /f on windows and reboot twice.the usage of /f parameter is
very imp!if u have softraid/fakeraid then 1st u must activate it and
mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory,(e.g
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1).please see 'dmraid'docs for details.
now i cant understand what it wants 2 say and so cant do anythin...plz
suggest a patch or sumthin to make it easy and permanently.i dont have
any hardware fault an this hd worked very well on 7.10 as its where i
keep everything...Thanks...
