I've had problems with bookmarks too but my firefox3 is an upgrade. You
can see into the firefox's profile folder
(~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/). Ther was two bookmarks files into my
profile folder:
"bookmarks.html" and "bookmarks.postplaces.html"
Rename the first of them to "bookmarks.html.something" fix me the
problem.
It's seens "bookmarks.html" is the original bookmarks file from Firefox
2 . "bookmarks.postplaces.html" plays a role in updates fron ff2 to ff3
and posibly in ff3.0b4, in ff30.b5 bookmarks are keept into sqlite
format and bookmarks.postplaces.html is not update.
