** Description changed: Release: Ubuntu 8.04 Desktop i386 Whenever a Domain is set with System>Administration>Network (General> Domain name: <Domain>) sudo and gksudo (maybe other things to) doesn't work anymore (sudo: unable to resolve host <host>). To make sudo work again: Start ubuntu in the recovery mode to the root shell. edit /etc/hosts change the entry "127.0.1.1 computer.domain" to "127.0.1.1 computer" and reboot. (sry for the bad english) + + Edit: + It seems that many other have this problem when making a dist upgrade to Hardy. + I did not made a dist upgrade. I 've installed it from the Ubuntu 8.04 Desktop i386 CD (Final).
