Public bug reported:

I use the Ubuntu 8.04 DVD[Labelled : "Ubuntu 8.04 i386"]. The download and
writing process was verified. After installing and running Ubuntu. I usually
install packages from Synaptic Package Manaher.
After selecting package/s(any package, nothing specific) and trying to apply
the changes. A screen pops up promts following:

"Please insert the disk labeled: Ubuntu 8.04 _Hardy Heron_ - Release
i386 (20080423) in drive /cdrom/"

I tried changing the label of disc to one of DVD in sources.list file
but doesnt work. All other internet related URL's are commented in my
/etc/apt/sources.list. If I try to "Add CD-ROM" from "Software Sources",
then it says "Error scanning CD-ROM. Failed to mount cd". I tried this
on two of my computers, the problem is on both.

Installation from any other repository works fine. But, it seems theres
some problem with DVD.

Any more data required? I can't figure out which package is giving out
this error..
