Public bug reported:

Using the graphical Update Manager upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04 on my desktop.
The upgrade completed with no errors, but upon completion, no audio. All
players would launch and hang on playback with no errors. Found that my
username was not added to the following groups:
- pulse
- pulse-access
- pulse-rt
as part of the upgrade to 8.04. Adding my username to these groups solved the
sound issue, and all is happy again.

I expected that as part of the migration to the new sound system, it
would receive the appropriate group permissions to match audio access of
prior system.

Thanks for a great OS!

Mike
