I had completed log in and the automatic bug report mechanism had put an icon in the top bar on the right hand side to tell me of the problem - to the best of my knowledge it was the first thing that I noticed after logging in. With the obvious exception of the typed bug description all the data was collected by the bug report mechanism. There was no audio or blank CD in either of my CD/DVD drives. I had written an audio CD on Sunday [in 7.10] but had completely switched off overnight twice before upgrading to 8.10 and encountering this bug.
I have since rebooted several times with no apparent fault. Hope this helps!
