.reminders
I made an empty file "~/.reminders", then let the application fill it. Check 
the permissions. I think this file may be generated when you first succeed in 
starting remind.

wish: not found
I had to install tk8.4 and tcl8.4, using apt. With those installed, it worked 
for me, in Ubuntu 7.10.
Good luck, when it works, it is very good.
