This wasn't appropriate for 8.04, as Ralph said (aside from the
occasional exceptional circumstance, an LTS is normally a reason to
select *more* stable versions, not newer versions!), but will be done
for 8.10.
Bug 183935 is basically the same thing with a different version number.
