I agree, the documentation for this particular feature is confusing. I was trying to figure out exactly in which ways the "Save" feature differs from the fairly common "Snapshot" feature available in other virtualization solutions, and still remained confused. The suggested wording is clearer. And yes, unfortunately saving is a lot less powerful than snapshotting..
