AFAIK, there is neither xchat-xsys nor xchat on the livecd.
I don't think that xchat-xsys, at least officially, supports xchat-gnome, and
could very well be that the bug is caused by it running from a cd-rom media.
Is current xchat-xsys working with current xchat-gnome in a normal
installation)?
