Public bug reported:
Using the hardy Kernel, I can't switch on my wlan card by pressing the
functional keys on my notebook (this notebook:
http://www.notebookinfo.de/preise/id/4611/activated/DatasheetURL/ )
The card is recognized by iwconfig but the Wifi-LED doesn't shine, so i think
the card is just switched off.
When i press the functional keys, this appears in dmesg:
Apr 30 00:04:33 soeren-ubuntu kernel: [ 1317.874388] atkbd.c: Unknown key
pressed (translated set 2, code 0x88 on isa0060/serio0).
Apr 30 00:04:33 soeren-ubuntu kernel: [ 1317.874394] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes
e008 <keycode>' to make it known.
But this appears with the Gutsy-Kernel (2.6.22-14-generic), too, although the
activation and deactivation of the wlan card works there.
I can't see any acpi-events, using acpi_listen.
It appears to me like a problem with the bcm43xx-module, because the old
one of the 2.6.22-14-Kernel works fine, but with the hardy-Kernel, there
seems to be no chance.
