I can't install Kubuntu 8.04 [Hardy Heron LTS] on Asus M2A-VM HDMI (ATI
Radeon X1250)
*Alternate CD
I started the text mode installation and everything goes well. The installation
ends successfully. Starting the system, the Kubuntu splash screen is shown and
the system load begins. But after that, the monitor goes into standby mode and
the monitor shows only a black screen. I can't do nothing after that.
*Desktop CD
I started the graphic mode installation and the Kubuntu splash screen is shown.
But after that, the monitor goes into standby mode and the monitor shows only a
black screen and I can't do nothing after that.

My Hardware:
Motherboard: ASUS M2A-VM HDMI
BIOS: Tested with 1501 and 1603 version
Processor: AMD Athlon X2 4800+
Video: OnBoard integrated ATI RADEON X1200 Series (X1250) – 128MB shared memory
Monitor: LG FLATRON E701S (CRT)
Memory: 1GB DDR2
Disk: 160 GB SATA Western Digital
Optical: LiteOn DVD-RAM LH-18A1P
Note: I do not have the same problem with Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. The
installation is correct and everything works in 7.10.
