My PC has a three wire cpu fan therefore no sensor, no Quiet N' Cool and no
power saving features selected in Bios except that the ACPI HEPT table is
enabled. After a successful Hibernate and failed Resume which required use of
the reset button because no key or mouse button was effective, I enclose
details of my /var/log/Kern.log.0 file.
I don't understand how to provide the following details-
Tarball of /proc/acpi directory. You can't just tar all files because their
content sometimes changes etc.
* cp -r /proc/acpi /tmp
* tar -cvjf ~/acpi.tar.bz /tmp/acpi
It does seem likely that this bug report is heading for the long grass
yet looking in the Ubuntu Forum it looks like I'm not the only one who
is having a problems with recent kernels' ACPI functioning.
