Can you test if the following setting in xorg.conf makes the issue stop?

...
Option "ForceEnablePipeA" "true"

If that eliminates the issue, then please let me know:
* The output of `lspci -vvnn | grep -A1 "VGA compat"`
* Your laptop model name and number
and I'll put in a quirk to fix this issue (see #138256 for more info).
