Here are 3 pictures of the boot sequence with the splash / quite options removed. It stops at a different line every time I boot. Tried several options with apic , noapic, etc on/off with same results. Let me know if there is any other things I can try.
BTW, I tried PClinuxOS with KDE and Gnome desktops and it boots.
