Binary package hint: mythtv-backend
Attempting to "Watch Live TV" results in black screen for a number
(10-ish?) of seconds and then I get the initial mythfrontend menu. That
one complains, though, that the connection to the backend is lost.
Any attempt to restart the backend will fail, since mythbackend becomes
an unkillable zombie, as can be seen in ps.txt.
A /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log snippet is in backend.txt.
The capture card is a bt878-based Hauppauge WinTV variant, lspci output
is in lspci.txt.
System is Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron.
