I think I traced that one to an attempted access to /dev/vbi0. Why, and
for what purpose, I don't know, though. It's just that the message
disappears if I set the vbi device to blank. The code even seems to take
this as a sign that the card is bt878 (which it is), and does something
else instead.

So I think this is the expected behaviour for bt878 cards, and not
something to worry about. I could be terribly wrong, though...

I pretty much set up the card according to the HOW-TO in mythtv-doc, and
if you tell me which table to dump, I'll go right ahead and do that wrt.
to answering what I have in the recording profile.
