Thank you for reporting this. According to the Liferea documentation,
"Per default Liferea does not automatically download enclosures. But you
can enable auto-downloading for each feed separately." Please see this
link for instructions on enabling this:

know whether you already have this enabled, and if so, is it not
downloading enclosures properly, or at all?
Regarding other content, Liferea seems to only download and cache images
when an item is read, even when auto-download is selected for
enclosures. This appears to be its intended behavior. Did you experience
a different behavior in an earlier version or a different distro? If
not, this may be a feature request, rather than a bug.
