The cause is my /usr/share/wallpapers is symbolically linked to an NFS
mount "wallpapers" on another system with 0770 permissions (root:users)
and chattr attribute of "+a" on "wallpapers" directory and "+a" on all
files in "wallpapers" directory.
I have removed the symbolic link and created a local directory
"/usr/share/wallpapers" with 0777 permissions. Hopefully the Kubuntu
7.10-to-8.x upgrade will complete successfully.
