Firstly, thanks for a terrific Linux distribution. I have Ubuntu
installed on my mothers PC. She has a limited monthly download so I
preferred to upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 with the alternate CD. The
upgrade was uneventful and I removed the CD while the system restarted.
Upon restart I asked update-manager to make the system completely up to
date. It appeared to hang. After poking around, I realised I had to
comment out the first line of "/etc/apt/sources.list" since it referred
to the CD (which was no longer in the CD drive).
