The XvMC-supporting branch of the intel driver was recently merged[1]
into driver version 2.2.99.901. It should work on the 945 chipset, but
not the 810. Note that it's not in the repository for Hardy or Intrepid
at this point; you'll have to compile your own or just wait at this
point. Also, the initial announcement[2] says to use "libIntelXvMC.so"
in XvMCConfig.
