Just FYI,

I've been seeing this since Feisty and the upgrade to Hardy made it
worse on my box. I'm using the following hardware:

Dell Vostro 400
4GB RAM
160GB SATA Harddrive
SATA DVD

This is a stock Vostro with the exception of the 4GB RAM. The problem
was intermittent in Feisty but since the upgrade to Hardy, the system
won't boot at all without giving the "nobody cared" message and then
ultimately a kernel panic.

If further information is needed, please let me know and I'll se if I
can get it for you.
