Public bug reported: Originally AbiWord 2.4.6 in Ubuntu 7.10 included two Chinese fonts of the AR PL series - one in a Kanji style, another in a print style.
I expected the settings and fonts for AbiWord to be maintained through the upgrade to 8.04 Hardy Heron. But after the upgrade, these two fonts were gone in AbiWord, and replaced with the heinous 文泉驛正黑 - a pixelated font that appears to be unfinished. (Fonts for Open Office were left untouched.) I fixed the issue by installing 2.6.3 as described here: http://abisource.com/wiki/Install_on_Ubuntu Why doesn't Ubuntu simply provide abiword-2.6.3? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Chinese fonts on abiword-2.4.6 are ugly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227159 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
