Please attach the file "~/.jigdo-lite" which I guess will be "/home/shirish/.jigdo-lite" in your case. After you have attached this file, please tell me if " jigdo-lite http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/8.04/ubuntu-8.04-server-i386.jigdo"; work any better.
