Public bug reported: 8.04 Release CD
There are a set of instructions on http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2008/04/14/ubuntu-804-usb-hard-drive-install/ they basically run through the ability to install Ubuntu to a 4GB+ USB stick. If i follow these using RC1 everything works ok, if i follwthm using the release Cd, it all goes ok, Gnome boots up, as far as prewallapaer, and a cursor, no panels, icons, wallpaper of mouse clickability. I did the install via a VMWare machine, then reboot the actual PC, and booted into the stick. if i ALT - F1 can use the terminal. Tried on 3 different USB sticks. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- hardy install usb stick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227338 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
