This post is simply to confirm the last one. Repeated tests give the same result: Simply performing a warm re-boot destroys the sound after the first post-installation boot. After the initial boot sound works normally. Asoundconf list indicates the sound card as "Intel" both before and after the problem manifests. Searching the user home directory shows there to be no .asoundrc or .asoundrc.asoundconf file on the installation either before or after the problem arises. Speaker-test reports no problems, but produces no sound after the second boot. There are no sound configuration files in the /etc directory before or after.
I have double-checked the .iso's md5sum and error checked the resulting CD. Everything appears normal. -- Video breaks sound https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/226743 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
