Public bug reported:
I am using IBM Think pad R52 with Celeron 370.
I had already partitioned my HDD in 4 partition with FAT32 partitions
for installation of windowsXP. I installed XP on one partition and had
loaded some data on other. As XP trial period was expiring i shifted to
Linux.
I installed red hat linux on balance of the Hard disk to try it out
since it was older version it did not support the intel 910GML. Hence
thought of installing other distribution. I got Mandrake 9.2 which i
installed and manualy selected the 10GB partition which was free instead
of formating.
It was also older so it did not support Intel 910 GML. I downloaded
UBUNTU 6.06 LTS and it was running well live from the CD and I was able
to mount all the ext2/ext3 partitions while working live.
When I started installing UBUNTU in HDD i again tried with manually
selecting the partion and got @10GB space for formating. While it
proceeded well initially it could not complete the partition. Then on
second try the installation crashed and the following message came:

Since after it i selected to auto format and install UBUNTU it went well
and now my laptop is working well. I may not be able to get the same
error on my Laptop again.
But i am going to try many more linux distribtion before finally going
for one.
If I get simmilar message I will surly report.
