Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcl
lsb_release -rd: Description: Ubuntu 8.04 Release: 8.04 apt-cache policy gcl: gcl: Installed: 2.6.7-34 Candidate: 2.6.7-36 Version table: 2.6.7-36 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe Packages *** 2.6.7-34 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status The error was reported three times while upgrading from Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04, all at the installation step of the upgrade. If I understood correctly, the first report occurred while removing the old version. The second report occurred while installing the new version (because the old version was still in place). The third report occurred at the end of the upgrade, when the upgrade program asked me to send a bug report, which is what I am currently doing.
