Hello, To properly understand why the registration failed, we need the protocol log (SIP).
There is a bug in Ubuntu 7.10 which prevent to get this log. The workaround is this: sudo aptitude install libopal-2.2-ptrace Then, run ekiga in a terminal using this command: ekiga -d 4 > d4-ekiga.txt 2>&1 Perform the actions until the registration fails. Close Ekiga. Copy and paste the file d4-ekiga.txt here (it will contain your sip address and your IP, you can remplace them with xxxx if you want, your password is encrypted, thus non-readable).
